And there were some bumps. But Capt. Anderson facilitated a smoother transition by having dispatchers do ride alongs with Burlington PD for additional training to improve services.
I witnessed the improvement in communication and response time when an accident occurred just days ago directly in front of my home. I was the one who called 911. Police, Ambulance, Fire and even a tow truck were needed. I was astonished at how fast the first officer arrived on the scene. It was within just a couple minutes before my block and beyond were filled with people who expeditiously assessed the situation, treated the wounded, made their investigation followed by cleaning up the mess sweeping included.
