New Jersey birds sanctuary located in Columbia

The Barnyard Sanctuary is a 501c3 farm animal sanctuary located in Columbia, NJ Warren County. We are currently home to approximately 300 rescued horses, donkeys, mules, cows, water buffalo, sheep, goats, llamas, alpacas, pot bellies, farm hogs, emus and many different birds.We are looking for a full time Mon-Fri 8-3 plus Sun 8-1112 until feeding done horse caregiver to help our existing team care for our horses, donkeys, mules, minis and cows.The FT horse position requires horse experience -it is NOT an entry level job.This position is immediately available for the right person. You will need reliable winter transportation, as the horses must be fed and taken care of every day, even if it is snowing out. You must be able to work outside all day long.As a nonprofit funded solely by donations and trying to exist in a confused world ruled by a pandemic, we are only able to offer 13 an hour for this position.We know this is a very hard job, for low pay. Sadly, due to lack of donations and inflation sending our feed and hay bills through the roof, we cannot offer any higher pay at this time. We have great plans for the future and have some of the most incredible animals in the world living here, which for us at least makes it all worth it!A new report by the National Audubon Society says New Jerseys American goldfinch could disappear from the state.
