The attached article gives several examples of this- two different cruise ships, one at the very beginning in which no one wore masks, 800 passengers ended up with the virus, and only 18 were asymptomatic vs a later cruise ship in which all passengers were issued a mask upon the first infection, and while the infection still spread, 81 of the cases were asymptomatic.

We have long said that wearing a mask is about pulling together as a community and taking care of one another. It still is. But its also about keeping yourself safe. If you are going to get Covid- and its certainly possible that many of us ultimately will, we want the asymptomatic or mild version. Wearing a mask is looking more and more like our best shot at that. Its also our best shot at protecting our fledgling economy and our small businesses and our jobs.
