San Antonio travel wonderful people the same age as

I had my eye on a particular summer work travel program that I know in my heart is the right choice for this first scholarship, but first I had to go through other avenues to make sure I kept the door open for other opportunities. I first contacted my old director, Kate Mace from the work summer program I attended in Rock Hill, New York.

I was able to work at a camp called Camp Jened in the Catskill Mountains in the summer of 1997 where I was a camp counselor for mentally disabled adults. That opportunity, at just 19 years of age, led me to meet so many wonderful people the same age as myself from all over the world. Those people are still my friends until this day. My brother, Jay, had an opportunity to go to Puerto Rico, where he broadened his horizons and created adventures with new people that became lifelong friends.

I then corresponded with Andy Moeschberger, in California at another summer work travel program. I was given contacts in order to reach out to folks in Wisconsin and places up north. I also, had the pleasure of meeting Drill Sergeant Sanchez located on Joint Base San Antonio with Alpha 264, who also works with young adults each day and agreed that this scholarship is a great idea for young adults who may not find a path and may not want to join the military.
