The first was March 2nd, 2005. I was in a red coat, crying and devastatingly heartbroken from a recent divorce. You took my hand and said follow me, then guided me inside. You looked into my eyes and said pray with me, you too can be happy, joyous and free. The bondages of hell dropped to the ground and I found your words to be true.

The second time, I walked in the house after my doctors appointment. Hysterically crying while trying to heave out the words, I have cancer. Once again, we prayed together and you took me in your arms, holding me so tight, and said everything will be all right. I lived the next two years entirely dependent upon your strength. Every day, every minute, you took care of me, made sure my needs were met and loved me beyond measure. There were weeks I could not lift or use my arms, you were my arms. There were weeks I could not get out of bed, you picked me up and became my legs. The nights I would cry out loud asking is there a God?

You promised me there was a God and tomorrow would be a better day.How do I say thank you to a man who has devoted his entire being to my wellness and happiness? We are so intertwined there is no beginning or end, no start or finish line. A love like ours will still be alive in complete blackness, travel the years of eternity, and live forever.
