Palmdale travel District. It is my belief that for too long Division

Over the next two weeks, I will be publishing several objectives for my first year as a Director for the Palmdale Water District. It is my belief that for too long Division 2 rater payers have not had a Director that has been held accountable for their actions.

A few months ago, three out of five PWD Directors voted to increase their own annual budgets to 27,000 per year, per Director. This was a 5,000 per year, per Director increase that equates to 25,000 taken out of the PWD budget to go towards Director. I find it unconscionable that some of the Directors have even exceeded their increased budget for this year.

I will stand with Director Dino and Director MacLaren and have the annual budget put back on the agenda. I will make a motion to REDUCE our spending budget back to the amount prior to the raise. This would bring every Director back down to approximately 22,000 per year. This covers meeting stipends, conference costs, travel expenses, optional health insurance and more.

We cannot allow excessive spending to continue. Our job, as a Director, is to save the ratepayers as much as we possibly can while providing the highest quality service.When I am elected, I promise to keep my budget to the essential minimum. I am here to serve my community, not increase my income.
