Texas City plumbing perform difficult labor to include lifting

Under general supervision, the Utility Worker position provides support for the maintenance and repair of water and wastewater collection and distribution systems. Utility Worker will train andor assist other staff members, ensures adequate equipment and supplies are available for completing assignments. The Utility Worker will perform parks maintenance as needed, serve as meter reader for water services, and operate any equipment to include heavy equipment as needed to complete a specific job task.
Able to perform difficult labor to include lifting of heavy equipment andor materials also be able to bend, stoop, and twist to be able to complete job tasks.

Insuring equipment utility trucks, backhoe, t ailers, parts and tools is clean and in good repair.
Maintains City of Holland properties by mowing, edging, and trimming all areas needed to be maintained.
Checks the City of Holland and the city park to insure that the city and the park facilities are clean and that plumbing and lighting fixtures are in working condition where applicable. Also collects and properly disposes of trash in ad around the city and park area as needed.

Maintain the City of Holland yard facility by performing general yard organization of equipment.
Set up Kuhlman Civis Center for events which are for city business or city organizations as needed.Ensure the meters are registering properly, note any defects, or suspicious conditions and report to supervisor.

Reads residential and commercial water meters and records the meter readings as historically been done by the City of Holland. The Utility Worker will make necessary calculations and notes of the issues and report issues to supervisor to inculde following up on issues.
