Incredibly proud to be a part of this! This is our community -- good people of all types, from all backgrounds coming together to help out and make it better. We worked hard, got our hands dirty, and truly had a great time doing it -- all business and all smiles !

Today was also a bit of unfinished business for me personally. We had planned a Loughborough cleanup dayblock party back in April, but unfortunately had to cancel because of Covid.

We need to address the trash situation in our City! We all need to take more pride in Merced. Cleaning up our city is a major campaign issue for me, and we are going to get there one way or another.

Organizing community events like this in the future will be a key means of reducing trash and making Merced more beautiful. Our city council has enacted several effective anti-trash and blight measures over the past few years Bulky Item site 100 cars went there today alone, Substandard properties which has cleaned up 50 abandoned properties,
