La Mesa pets raise their kids in this beautiful city

I thought I read that Lee Hill apartments cost us, as tax payers 278k per unit. There are no sobriety requirements for those also. To me that seems wrong. There are so many people struggling in boulder to scrape by and raise their kids in this beautiful city, most of the public service workers cant afford to live here, but if they stopped trying and because drugalcohol dependent then we take care of them? We need to support people who are trying. There has to be some sort of path and guidelines to get out. Otherwise thats a pretty good retirement plan.

One more thought about the coordinated entry data. Those are people entering the system. Many have left. After talking with some folks, there is a network of transients who simply travel the country via homeless shelters. We have a pretty nice one and with the easy access to weed, its understandable that they will travel here just like the hobos of the 1900s get free lodging, 3 meals and showers and spend their money in the dispensarys instead.

Ive lived in Boulder over ten years, and affording housing here has ALWAYS been a struggle for me. Can I get in on this free housing deal? Or am I being prioritized beneath someone who just got into town with no savings, job skills, or plan?

What if you only had one unit to give away, and it was me or them? Should I be punished for having a job but that doesnt pay enough to live on?Im not trying to be combative. I really would like to understand your viewpoint. I think Boulder should be a welcoming community, but not just for transients. Id like to be welcomed here too.
