Pueblo cars museum encounter with contemporary

The University of New Mexico Art Museum is pleased to announce the public launch of, our new platform for artiststudent collaboration. In the Fall of 2021, was only open to UNM students who engaged with New Mexico artist Rose B. Simpson. Now we invite you to visit the archived version of the platforms inaugural project, Rose B. Simpson Seminar.

From September 6 to October 24, 2021, Rose B. Simpson and UNM students used to collaborate in a virtual museum encounter with contemporary art and ideas. Over 175 students and 10 faculty participated, resulting in personal, back-and-forth conversations and collaboration between Simpson and UNMs community of students across disciplines.

Rose B. Simpson is a mixed-media artist from Santa Clara Pueblo, NM. Her work engages ceramic sculpture, metals, fashion, performance, music, installation, writing, and custom cars.
