Ive got a cant-miss campaign idea for Trump. Trump should say hell let whoever wins the presidential election pick the next Supreme Court Justice. It will be the fairest thing any modern president has done in choosing a Supreme Court Justice, and that should go over big with Independent voters who decide elections.
Trump says hes going to win, so this will give him a chance to back up his words with actions. Thats rare for a politician...and good for Trumps outsider image. And it shows cajones. And the only people who are against cajones arent voting for Trump anyway. Their lapdogs werent asked their opinion on the matter.
Trump betting on himself and waiting until after the election to appoint a new Supreme Court Justice is a perfect example of enlightened self-interest. In enlightened self-interest, everybody winsbut some win more than others. The evolutionary race does not go to the mightyit goes to the most adaptable. And to adapt and evolve is to improve. And thats what a win-win proposition is. And thats what this Supreme Court gamble is, a win-win for everybody.
The Democrats get what they want. Trump wins over Independent voters in a big way and gets a big boost to his campaign. As Trump goes, so goes the party. And even if the Democrats win the election, the Republicans still have a 5-4 partisan advantage on the Supreme Court of Impartial Justice.
Everybody wins with this deal. But Trump wins most. Trumps not only a politician--hes also a casino owner. This bet will pay off big in good publicity for both enterprises. Especially if Trump wins the election. But either way, the house wins. How big is the only question.
Trump is a showmanand this will get Trump the best kind of headlines. If the news-media doesnt give him credit, Trump is right about them being out to get him and not reporting the news properly. And this tops that hot-microphone bit the Peeping Tessies on the far-left love so much. That gets reduced to a footnote nobody ever reads on Wikipedia.
This move would go down in political history. Its a smart bet for the Republicans and a sure bet for Trump--it will win votes, be great publicity, and handcuff his critics. This move cant miss. The question is, do the Republicans play to win...or settle for a participation ribbon?
