Its that time of year again! We have opened the application process for our 6th annual 2022 International Chainsaw Carving Championship!The contest will take place on the Main street of Libby, Montana from September 8th-11th. Competitors will utilize the 4 days to complete their masterpiece, and every day there will be a quick carve as well.Prizes and trophies will be awarded for 1st- 5th place for the masterpiece, 1st -3rd peoples choice and 1st place for quick carve.
Libby, Montana is situated in the northwest corner of the state, roughly 70 miles south of the Canadian border and just east of the Idaho Panhandle. For competitors traveling by air, Spokane, Washington GEG and Kalispell, Montana FCA are the closest international airports. We will be providing shuttle service to and from those airports, please see inside the information packet for more details.
Libby is one of the finest outdoor recreation areas found anywhere in the world. Our 2.2 million acres of wilderness, pristine rivers and lakes, and abundant wildlife will make your trip to this competition one you will not soon forget.
Spokanes favorite outdoor event is back for live performances. Phil and Paul hope to see you at The Bing for two Live Shows on Friday and Saturday, February 18-19th. This years films are excellent with a great mix of adventure, mountain culture and travel. The films bring a high level of personal feeling from individuals and small expeditions as well as breathtaking ski, climbing and even an outdoor high diving film. Each night is a unique program and we doubt youll be disappointed. For those of you that want a head start there is a separate virtual festival you can watch at home.
