Draper travel understand what their actual authority

There were a few questions on the survey that I didnt answer because they were about county, state, and federal issues, not city issues, issues that I have no authority over. Im uncomfortable getting out of my lane like that and I find it not to be professional or wise. I also believe its really important that politicians- and candidates- understand what their actual authority is and dont overreach- we see far too much of that already and its not good for our state nor our country.

Im never going to pretend I have all the right answers or that I never make mistakes or that I will always make everyone happy all the time, but I work hard at what I do- caring for Draper and our community and our residents.

I supported RCV because unlike other cities, all Draper council members are at large. We always vote for at least two and and sometimes 3 candidates. This new system will not be significantly different. RCV encourages positive elections and saves taxpayer dollars- without a primary, elections are half the cost. I also felt that we had all had a bellyful of politics and politicians over the past few years and giving residents a break vs starting in March again would be a welcome change.
