Northwood Arts Event presents Eye to Eye a portrait painting and sculpting demonstration featuring renowned artists John P. Lasater IV, painter, and William Jeffrey Jones, sculptor, who, over the course of three days, will create portraits of each other using their respective medium.
Watch and learn from these award-winning and masterful artists as they demonstrate their techniques, skill, and insights, discussing materials and methods, being or becoming a professional artist, philosophies, and experiences while bringing these portraits to life simultaneously on our stage. John will paint Jeffreys portrait from start to finish while Jeffrey sculpts Johns portrait in clay.
The demonstrationslectures take place on three consecutive days. While much of the information and technique will be geared toward artists of all levels and students of art, the general public will enjoy this event for the sheer spectacle of watching two professional artists work eye to eye.
