Huntington Beach Fishing water for first response vessels

Since Coindre Hall is County property, I believe it is Suffolk Countys responsibility to make this site a safe, welcoming beacon for all of the boaters who visit our Town. My vision, which is scalable, based on feasibility and TownCounty approvals, is a three part plan

Rebuild the pier and utilize it in part for law enforcement boats, County, Bay Constable, and possibly even a Coast Guard vesselsperhaps drawing federal funding. This location is the most ideal access point to the open water for first response vessels, and would also serve as a safe optic for boaters who will immediately recognize by seeing the vessels as they enter the harbor that Huntington is a Town concerned for the well-being of our residents and guest boaters. This proposal would also offer a layer of protection from some of the random acts of vandalism that occur in and around the Gold Star Beach mooring area.

Create a Huntington Welcome Center on the site. The Town and County could have a small booth with Welcome to Huntington pamphlets with write ups and overviews of the various restaurants, shops and activities in and around Huntington Harbor and Huntington Village.
