Santee house country club membership as a job perk

MORE STATE DEBT...MORE PROBLEMS Taxpayers would be on the hook for the Charleston project, which the Ports Authority, already at 94 of its borrowing capacity, cannot take on in the form of more debt.State Senators voted to borrow a half-billion with a b dollars for a port in Charleston named after the most corrupt politician in the state Corrupt Hugh Leatherman.

The SC Ports Authority is a state agency appointed and controlled by state politicians.The head bureaucrat in-charge of the Ports Authority gets over 500kyr AND a reasonable allowance for a country club membership as a job perk.We dont think taxpayers should be forced into debt for an agency that is paying for country club memberships.

Even worse, according to the state Constitution Article 10, Section 13-4, if state politicians dont make debt re-payments on time.Remember, were already carrying billions of dollars of debt at our university system, Santee Cooper and the State Infrastructure Bank aka Corrupt Hugh Leathermans slush fund.
