Livermore house companies have proposed the unprecedented transformation

Sheila Lyman, a lifelong resident of this area, will be a valuable asset to the Maine Legislature for the communities of Jay, Livermore and Livermore Falls. As a child growing up on a local farm and working with her husband in a small business, she personifies one who knows and appreciates hard work and the necessity of setting priorities when budgeting.

Livermore Valley are at risk. Just a short drive or bike ride from the City of Livermore, the North Livermore Valley has been an agricultural district for centuries. For over 50 years, Alameda County has recognized North Livermore Avenue in its General Plan as a scenic corridor and sought to preserve the areas outstanding scenic quality.

Two energy companies have proposed the unprecedented transformation of a massive section of North Livermore Valley into industrial solar power plants. The combined project area of the plants - 820 acres - is enormous. Thats an area large enough to hold Livermore Airport plus three Livermore SF Premium Outlets malls.

We need your help to save the valley. It is as simple as that. Save North Livermore Valley is a grassroots effort led by valley residents. We need an outpouring of support from City of Livermore residents and persons across the Bay Area. If we do not come together and fight to save the valley, the energy companies will prevail.
