Paramount Fishing important for the survival of the millions of animals

Dozens of Caribbean Reef and Lemon sharks swim in the protected Bahamian waters of Tiger Beach. In 2011 the Bahamas officially became a sanctuary for sharks when they protected the over 40 species of sharks which call its waters home.

Globally, only 15 of the worlds lands and 5 of the worlds oceans are currently protected. Protected areas are not only important for the survival of the millions of animals that share this planet but they are equally vital for our own continued human existence. On this Im asking you to sign and share the petition urging world leaders to protect half of the Earths lands and seas. Setting aside these wild areas from fishing and destruction through agriculture, mining and the encroachment of building will benefit all of us as we move forward into the future. It is paramount not only to our quality of life but our basic survival.

As hunters anglers, we know that habitat is paramount to fish and game and integral both to our economy and ability to enjoy our outdoor passions. Ballot Measure 1 will add needed science-based standards and allow for responsible development of Alaskas resources while ensuring that critical salmon habitat is also protected.
