Job Overview
Easterseals Rehabilitation Center is seeking an Administrative Assistant on our Human Resources team. This position provides support to the HR team with responsibility for all admininstrative functions within human resources. The successful candidate will have previous administrative experience in an office environment or trainingeducation in Human Resources with a desire to grow in the field.

Job duties and Responsibilities
Create and maintain personnel file folders and electronic information
Ensure system changes are correct to source documents
Complete transaction work in the HRIS systemPAYCOR and timekeeping systemProvideAccel to include
o Adding new hires, processing terminations, updating employee records
Supports the performance review process
Conduct background and reference checks for new hires and current employees
Provide administrative support for human resources functions scheduling events, coordinating in-service trainings, tracking compliance items, sending reminders, reconciling billing, tracking employee recognition, etc.
Builds and maintains special reports and spreadsheets as needed using HR software and Excel
The right candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills, be able to prioritize and plan work activities to use time efficiently, and utilize creative approaches to problem solve.
Qualifications
Required
Administrative support experience
Ability to multi-task and prioritize work
Strong administrative and data management skills
Ability to adhere to and meet deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Displays positive attitude
Ability to raise issues proactively and in a timely manner
Takes a flexible approach to problems
Is curious about all aspects of the business
Highly self-aware and perceptive
Must be confident enough to be candid when needed, while also humble enough to work behind the scenes
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite Excel, Word, Outlook
Strong attention to detail and ability to proof own work
Preferred
Prior role in Human Resources is preferred
Previous experience with Paycor systems
Non-profit experience preferred
Formal training or administrative certification preferred
SHRM or APHR certification preferred
