Temecula is a city in Southern California. It's known for the surrounding Temecula Valley Wine Country, with its hillside vineyards and many golf courses. The city's Old Town area has 1800s buildings, antiques shops and restaurants. The Temecula Valley Museum has displays on regional history and the author Early Stanley Gardner. Pennypickle's Workshop is a children's science museum with hands-on exhibits. Located in the heart of Temecula, the Old Town district blends historic buildings with antique dealers, unique shopping, and restaurants. A horseshoe-shaped town square anchors Old Town Temecula, where you’ll find plenty of historic action. Old Town Temecula, the city's downtown district, is a collection of historic buildings, hotels, museums, event centers, specialty food stores, restaurants, boutiques, gift and collectible stores, and antique dealers. On Saturdays, Old Town has an outdoor farmers' market featuring approximately 70 to 80 local vendors. On weekends, Old Town also hosts a growing nightlife. Old Town is also home to the Temecula Valley Museum, which features exhibits about the local band of Native Americans and the local natural history and city development. The City Hall, which relocated from a smaller location on Business Park Drive in late 2010, is located in the center of Old Town. The City of Temecula’s Community Services Department (TCSD) is proud to present a new TCSD TV series called Around & About Temecula. The show captures the look and feel of living in the City of Temecula appealing to visitors and residents as it showcases people, parks, programs, events, and natural beauty. We just came back from Temecula Wine Country, which is one of our favorite places in California. With it fresh on my mind, I wanted to share my top tips and advice for visiting this beautiful region. Though it's not quite like Napa Valley, it is incredible on its own. Set more in desert surroundings, it is gorgeous with rolling vineyards and majestic winery houses (as you can see from the photos I'm sharing here). This area is ideal in the spring and fall, but even the summer gets a lovely breeze in the afternoons that makes it actually quite comfortable (though daytime highs often get in the 90's Fahrenheit). A favorite among Southern Californians, this is easily one of the best places in California. I'll go over the options for hotels/lodging, things to do, wine tastings tips + ideas, and everything I love about this area. We've been coming here for years and it's finally time to share my love of the area with you.
