As you know Candace was one of the three founding members of Rescue our Waterfront back in 2015, helping bring a wave of positive change to our city. Candace Allen Nafissi is a lifetime resident of the South Bay and a proud resident of District 3 in Redondo Beach.

Candace is a public servant with a Masters Degree in Public Administration and over a decade of legislative and policy experience. A communications executive in community health care, Candace has also served as an Education Policy Manager for the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce. In that role, she assisted in securing a 264 million investment in California for Early Education by leading a team of businesses statewide and nationally, advocating for the LA region. This was the first investment in California for early education in almost a decade.

Appointed by the Mayor and City Council, Candace served as Historical Commissioner for the City of Redondo Beach, and she currently serves on the City of Redondo Beach General Plan Advisory Committee. She also serves as LA County Beaches and Harbor Commissioner by appointment of Los Angeles County Supervisor Janice Hahn.
