Philadelphia plumbing became the Maintenance Supervisor

FeelGoodFriday and today were celebrating the man who brings the team at Pipe Spy Oakland all together!Our President Paul, has a life long experience in the construction trades, beginning with his training as an apprentice carpenter in Philadelphia.

With formal training in Industrial Arts for Secondary Education and journeyman carpentry skills he moved to Berkeley in 1974 and became the Maintenance Supervisor for the American Baptist Seminary of the West, managing a 13 building campus.

While there, Pauls interests grew in solar energy and founded with other partners, the Alternative Energy Collective, a nonprofit educational organization promoting solar energy and energy conservation and a for profit business Solar Station, installing Solar hot water systems.

As the solar industry changed in the early 1980s Paul with his team of solar installers learned the plumbing trade. In 1998 Paul, with his friend and fellow plumber Heiko Dzierzon, formed Pipe Spy promoting and introducing trenchless technology to the East Bay Area. As a new technology, Pipe Spy promoted Pipe Bursting and trained East Bay sanitary districts to the benefits and savings of this trenchless process for property owners and achieved approval for its use in our local areas.
