EPCR is an interdisciplinary group of estate planning professionals from the legal, accounting, banking, insurance, and financial planning sectors. Originally formed by life insurance agents and bank trust officers in 1934 as The Life Insurance Trust Council of Rochester, its name was changed to the current name in 1958 after attorneys and accountants were permitted to join the organization. Don, who specializes in the areas of Estates and Trusts, Estate and Tax Planning and Business Succession Planning, joins a distinguished group of professionals who have headed this organization. These include, but are not limited to, Trevett Cristo partner Kelly Odorisi, who was President in the 2011 to 2012 fiscal year, and Margaret Trevett, CFP, CTFA, widow of Trevett Cristo named partner, Tom Trevett, who was President in the 2005 to 2006 fiscal year.

Dons election as President of EPCR is one of many charitable, civic, and professional organizations throughout his legal career, serving on various boards as a member and as Chair. He has been Treasurer of the Rochester Rotary Club since 2007, a member of the Executive Committee of the Estate Planning Council of Rochester since 2016, a member and past Chair of both the Tax Section and the Trusts and Estates Section of the Monroe County Bar Association, and a Board member, Executive Committee member, and current Planned Giving Chair of the Rochester Regional Health Foundations.
