Dr. Hool grew up on the West Coast. She went to the University of California, Berkeley, where she graduated as a Regents Scholar with honors in 2003. She then attended the University of Southern California School of Medicine and graduated with the highest distinction. Dr. Hool completed her internal medicine training at the University of California, Los Angeles.

While in residency, she met her husband, and the two were married in 2011 when she also completed a year as Chief Resident in Internal Medicine. She completed her training in hematology and oncology at UCLA in 2014, also serving as the Chief Fellow. She went on to do post-doctoral training in epidemiology at UCLA and then worked in drug development and clinical trials as a Senior Scientist at Amgen until 2017.

Dr. Hool moved to Montana five years ago to get back to direct patient care and live in the best place ever, Bozeman. She has worked in Bozeman with cancer and hematology patients ever since and has never looked back. Dr. Hool and her husband try to stay balanced with their three young kids and their Australian Shephard puppy, of which they say they are sometimes successful.
