Water is vital to the health of all living things, making up most of the volume of every living cell indeed, humans are 60 water. Although 70 of Earths surface is water, 97.5 of this is undrinkable salt water. Of the remaining 2.5 fresh water, only a small fraction 0.76 is available for drinking. The remainder is packed in snow or ice and is not accessible.

Water is one of the primary ways through which we are experiencing the effects of Climate Change. Indeed, the United States has a water problem, Too Much, Too Little, or Too Polluted. We use billions of gallons of fresh water a day for drinking, washing, cleaning, mining, FRACKING, manufacturing, farming, etc. Orlando. However, Climate Change has exacerbated the maldistribution of water so that some areas are suffering from flooding like Miami, Charleston SC, Boston, while others are fighting droughts. The Rio Grande, the Colorado River and even the Great Lakes are stressed or dry. The Ogalla Aquifer that supplies Kansas, the Great Plains and Texas is being depleted. Floods are contaminating other water sources.

While effective water policy relies on cities, states and the federal government, there are many things that we as individuals can to foster Wise water use. 1 Reduce shower time from 10 minutes to 5 minutes to save 450 gallons a month. 2 Turn off tap water while brushing teeth to save 200 gallons per month. 3 Practice If its yellow let it mellow.if its brown, flush it down. If yellow grosses you out, put the toilet lid down. 4 The most common cause of a high water bill is a leaky running toilet. A constantly running toilet can waste up to 200 gallons a day, so repair that leak!
