Surprise Arizona was founded in 1938 by a woman named flora she named it surprise because she would be surprised if the town ever amounted to much history lives up to its name because now there are almost a hundred and fifty thousand residents surprise is located about 20 miles northwest of Phoenix otherwise known as the greater Phoenix area surprise is very laid-back and considered a very good place to raise a family the cost of living here is just slightly above the national average
I recommend using nerd wallet to see how your city compares I did it for San Francisco and you can see that surprise is less than half the cost I'll put a link in the description when you google the median home price and surprise a lot of sources are saying that it's 260 but according to the MLS that I looked up today it is actually 280 of course
They have playgrounds for the kids and basketball courts they also have a dog park which is really nice and there's baseball fields it's also very close to the library and just across the street you'll find surprise Stadium it's used as a training center for the Kansas City Royals and the Texas Rangers every spring
spring training games in Arizona are very fun and very affordable the surprise Aquatic Center is also in the same area I'll leave a link to the
government website for all the hours and everything about this and the city guide below if you enjoy tennis racquetball or pickleball surprise is the place for you surprise has the largest complex in the southwest region and residents can write courts for as low as $2 they also have a bunch of lessons surprise also has the wildlife world zoo I think it's a little better than the Phoenix Zoo look at that a little cute little dress walking and of course there are many many golf courses I'll put my pics in the city guide below just to the left you'll find
white tank mountains Regional Park also known as white tanks there's over 40 miles of trails here it's really beautiful and really fun you can go mountain biking there's horseback riding jogging running scenic views there's also a trail with a waterfall which is gorgeous but the waterfall is not running all the time there are many other fun and great things to do and surprise that I'll leave in the city guide now I want to talk about the best restaurant in
surprise has to be Applebee's it's
delicious I'm just kidding there
there are so many great restaurants and
surprise I thought it'd be best if I put
