today we're coming to you from scottsdale arizona we're going to take a look at the things to do around here top golf talking stick casino odyssey aquarium we're going to go around these places and show you guys what it looks like down here so let's begin a little bit of information about scottsdale it's a high desert community just outside of northeast
phoenix it does have a population of
around 250 000 people
sitting at the foothills of the mcdowell
mountains
in case you're wondering how scottsdale got its name well it's named after its founder
winfield scott and the city was incorporated in 1894. anyways we're going to start
at the butterfly garden here in
scottsdale
near the odyssey aquarium this is
actually the largest
butterfly conservatory butterfly garden in the country so that's pretty good and uh yeah you can see they've got a wide variety of moss
and even some bees and just basically a
bunch of pollinators in here
and the butterflies will come over and
land on you or fly around you it's a little bit humid in there but not too bad lots of tropical plants growing in here and if you're excited about this video from scottsdale arizona crush

just outside here is the arizona
boardwalk so around here you've got
shopping and some restaurants and then
you go across the way to the odyssey
sea aquarium
so here at this aquarium they do have
sharks seals some turtles and other
aquatic
mammals they don't have any whales and they did have to stop uh showing the dolphins at the dolphinarium so now they just have uh the sharks and whatnot still a pretty good place to go if you're looking to take the kids to explore something
if you get a chance go to the bathroom
over there they actually have
an aquarium with the sharks in the
bathroom so that's uh
something a lot of people don't know
about this place anyways next up on the
list
we're going to head over to some of the other places around the odyssey sia square aquarium a uh medieval times dinner and tournament so this is a place where you can eat dinner and take in some
entertainment from the history of the
medieval times
and this is where the diamondbacks also
play and they share the stadium with the colorado rockies they do have the great wolf lodge here an indoor water park in order to go you have to have
a room at the place they also have indoor skydiving over here generally just a really cool place to spend spring break if anything now over here as we head down shave boulevard headed east towards fountain hills there is a place over here called taliesin west but it's currently closed either way you would want to check that out it is home to
frank lloyd wright architecture anyways
moving right along here we'll go back to
the other side of town to the
arizona botanical garden phoenix
botanical garden
it's kind of on the edge of town with scottsdale in phoenix but it's over there by papago still all include this in this list here really a cool place to explore around here if you want to take in the botanical garden uh and know what grows out here and what doesn't also there's a pretty cool area right here called
the hole in the wall out here at papago
